Of course, if you are willing to impose sufficiently onerous conditions, it is surely still possible to control markets. Stadium owners could, like airlines, put your name on the ticket and require photo ID on admission. Nations could impose draconian controls on all international transactions. But in both cases the costs seem too large to be worth incurring.
