A former Korean intelligence agent who was convicted of a $4 million bank fraud in this country, Yoo was set to co-chair a Jesse Helms fund-raiser with Alfonse D'Amato Oct. 11. The event, according to the New York Daily News, would have been filled with representatives of Korean companies if it had been held. In fact, it was canceled that very day, when the New York Times reported that the DNC was returning $250,000 it illegally accepted from a Korean company.
