In an Oct. 8 "Explainer" column, Brian Palmer mistakenly referred to the USNS Lewis and Clark as the USS Lewis and Clark.

In the Oct. 6 "Technology," Farhad Manjoo originally stated that half of iPhone customers use 400 megabytes or more network capacity per month. While the average iPhone user does consume 400 MB per month, it's impossible to say how many customers use more than 400 MB because AT&T hasn't released that information.

In the Oct. 2 "Explainer," Christopher Beam incorrectly suggested that treatment for heartburn comes only in pill form. Some treatments are administered through an IV.

In the Oct. 2 "Movies," Dana Stevens implied the bubonic plague happened in the 13^th century. It was in the 14^th century.

In an Oct. 2 "Politics," Brad Flora originally stated that Chicago 2016 bid committee chairman Pat Ryan is the CEO of Aon Corporation. He is the founder and former CEO of Aon.

In the Oct. 1 "Explainer," Christopher Beam incorrectly stated that Iran has not signed the International Atomic Energy Agency's additional protocol for nuclear-site inspections. Iran signed the protocol in 2003 but never ratified it.
