In his "Prescriptions" blog of the Senate finance committee markup on health reform, Timothy Noah erroneously referred to Sen. "Ben" Nelson. His name's Bill.

In the Sept. 24 "Human Guinea Pig," Emily Yoffe implied the Washington Nationals lost the baseball game following the one she watched. The Nats went on beat the Phillies 8-7.

In a Sept. 21 "Highbrow" column, Meghan O'Rourke stated that the Munchkins live in the northern portion of Oz. They live in the east. She also referred to the canal linking the Atlantic Ocean to the Great Lakes as the Eerie Canal. It's the Erie Canal.

In the Sept. 20 "Fighting Words," Christopher Hitchens wrote that Irving Kristol cast a vote for Richard Nixon three decades after giving support in 1952 to Joseph McCarthy. Kristol's vote for Nixon was in 1972, only two decades later.

In the Sept. 17 "Medical Examiner," David Dobbs suggested that we will have double or quintuple the expected supply of swine flu vaccine. We will have double or quadruple the vaccine. Also, the available supply of antigen could create 390 million doses of boosted vaccine, not 380 million. Dobbs also stated that MF59 adjuvant has been used in both Canada and Europe for the last 12 years. Europe has used the adjuvant for that long; Canada has not.
