Due to an editing error, the Sept. 8 "Explainer" referred to the 50^th-ranked player in the world as "the 50^th-seed." Seeding is the scattering of the highest-ranked players in an individual tournament to prevent them from meeting before the later stages.

In the Sept. 10 "Prescriptions," Christopher Beam incorrectly stated that American doctors' take-home pay amounts to 1 percent of health care spending. It's about 10 percent.

In the Sept. 9 "Supreme Court Dispatch," Dahlia Lithwick erroneously stated that a federal court of appeals agreed with the FEC that an anti-Hillary Clinton movie could be regulated. It was a special three-judge U.S. District Court panel that agreed with the FEC.

In the Sept. 1 "Television," Troy Patterson misspelled the name of wrestler John Cena.
