Airborne battles are a good introduction to the basic logic of G.I. Joe violence. In this scene, each of the Cobra helicopters the Joes destroy gives birth to a Cobra pilot who parachutes safely into the ocean. In G.I. Joe, everyone hits the eject button in time, and being shot out of the sky is at worst a temporary inconvenience. Joes who are shot down also have an uncanny ability to parachute directly into an enemy's aircraft and start punching the pilot in the face.
