In an Aug. 21 "Politics," John Dickerson incorrectly wrote that John McCain's aide said Barack Obama's house was worth $4 million. His charge was that Obama had earned $4 million last year.

In an Aug. 15 "Explainer," Derek Thompson misspelled the name of Doug Hecox.

In an Aug. 15 "Five Ring Circus," Meghan O'Rourke originally stated that Chinese gymnast Yang Yilin is the defending world champion on the balance beam. American Nastia Liukin is the defending beam champion.

In the Aug. 15 "Faith-Based," Andrew Park incorrectly stated that Shane Hipps' community asked him to "go multisite" and that he refused. The members asked him to add a "video venue" service, and he expressed reservations. Additionally, Hipps' podcast subscribers number 12,000, not 6,000.

In the Aug. 14 "Culture Gabfest," the participants misstated the name of the lip-synced song at the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing Games. It was not China's national anthem but rather "Ode to the Motherland."
