
People hostile to immunization in general or to this one in particular make a big deal about other side effects. Almost all of these are minor. As with most vaccines, there is sometimes a little muscle pain at the site of the injection, and sometimes kids who are anxious or prone to fainting will feel faint (or even pass out) following the shot. This reaction can follow any kind of shot or perception of physical or psychological intrusion on the body.
