
Poetry Submissions
Slate considers new poems from Sept. 1 to May 31. Manuscripts sent between June 1 and Aug. 31 will be returned.
To submit poems electronically to Slate: Send, as a single attached document, up to three poems of no more than 50 lines each to . Use the poet's name for the subject line of the e-mail and for the title of the attachment. Please limit submissions to two per poet per year.
To submit poems by mail to Slate (until Sept. 1, 2010): Send up to three poems of no more than 50 lines each, folded into a regular No. 10 envelope, to

If you wish to have your work returned, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with sufficient postage for both our correspondence and your poems. If you prefer to be notified about your hard-copy submission by e-mail, include an e-mail address in your cover letter. Please limit submissions to two per poet per year.
