Corrections From Beyond the Grave

Washington lawyer Clark Clifford, described in last week's "Strange Bedfellow" column as "the late Clark Clifford," is, in fact, still alive. Virginia Woolf, by contrast, really is dead. However, she drowned herself in a river called the Ouse, not the Thames, as our review of the new Woolf biography erroneously said. (Thanks to Slate reader Peggy Golberg of Seattle for pointing this out.)
