In a May 22 "DVD Extras," David Zax incorrectly said that Thomas Riddle, a teacher in Greenville, S.C., received free DVDs from Lucasfilm so that he could get a head start on a Web site he was building to help teachers use The Adventures Young Indiana Jones in the classroom. In fact, the site was already live when Lucasfilm sent the DVDs.
In the May 19 "Chatterbox," Timothy Noah stated incorrectly that Gelf magazine reported last month on HDTV's possible impact on the presidential election. The Gelf piece ran last year.
In the May 19 "Fighting Words," Christopher Hitchens erroneously referred to Dick Gephardt as the speaker of the House. He never held that position.
In the May 16 "Hot Document," Bonnie Goldstein gave the incorrect date for the California Supreme Court's recent decision on same-sex marriage.
If you believe you have found an inaccuracy in a Slate story, please send an e-mail to , and we will investigate. General comments should be posted in "The Fray," our reader discussion forum.
