
The share for FY 2009 breaks down as follows: Army, $140.7 billion; Navy (including Marines), $149.3 billion; Air Force, $143.9 billion. There is also $86.1 billion for "defense-wide" programs. In calculating the share allotted to each service, I have left off the "defense-wide" programs and figured each branch's budget as a percentage of the tri-service total.
