In the Aug. 1 "Spectator," Ron Rosenbaum wrote that the United Nations "holds genocide to be a special category of crime that justifies the abrogation of the sovereignty of a nation engaged in it." The convention on the prevention of genocide calls for "action appropriate for the prevention and suppression of genocide" and doesn't exclude abrogation of sovereignty.

In the July 16 "Architecture," Witold Rybczynski incorrectly stated that the Lewis Center for Environmental Studies at Oberlin College was built at a cost of $500 per square foot. It was actually $344 per square foot.
