In the March 28 "Press Box," Jack Shafer mistakenly stated that the term of the New York Times public editor is 18 months. The first public editor did serve 18 months. The second, two years.

In a March 27 "Memoir Week," Jess Row misidentified Frank Chin as the editor of the anthology Charlie Chan Is Dead. Jessica Hagedorn edited the book.

In the March 26 "Chatterbox," Timothy Noah misstated the publication year of Air Force Lt. Col. Robert "Buzz" Patterson's book, Dereliction of Duty. It was 2003, not 2006.

In the March 26 "Explainer," Michelle Tsai incorrectly described cystine as a sulfurlike amino acid. Cysteine is a sulfur-containing amino acid, while cystine is a modification of cysteine. She also said that the police had discovered the remains of a murder victim, when no remains were found.

In the March 26 "Medical Examiner," Amanda Schaffer referred to the sleeping-pill seller Lunesta's butterfly. Lunesta uses a moth.
