 | Cindy Sherman spawned countless Shermanettes when she started shooting herself in an assortment of guises—as a B-movie star, for instance, in "Complete Untitled Film Stills," a series shot between 1977 and 1980. Gillian Wearing took the Sherman concept a step further by composing a series of self-portraits in which she dressed herself as members of her family, including her dad and brother, using wigs, masks, and body suits. | |
