Last week, Slate posted a list of the 10 most-read articles of 2006 and invited readers to tell us about any favorite stories that didn't make the list. We received a number of nominations for our "Blogging the Bible" series, in which David Plotz tackles the Old Testament book by book. Mike Shaw of Des Moines, Iowa, wrote: "I'm one of those people who have always had a curiosity about the Bible, but I've never been able to muscle my way through the language and convoluted plotlines. Plotz condenses it beautifully and always has a brilliantly funny take on the book's plain weirdness."
