In the Oct. 11 "Hot Document," Bonnie Goldstein disputed, incorrectly, a claim by Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, that he once served as a deputy sheriff in East Baton Rouge, La. Contrary to what the column stated, Perkins' claim is accurate.

In the Oct. 11 "Today's Papers," Andrew Rice mistakenly claimed that a New York Review of Books article about North Korea was published in 2006. The piece was published in 2005.

In the Oct. 7 "Today's Papers," Barron YoungSmith incorrectly identified Mark Foley's former chief of staff as Mark Fordham. His name is Kirk Fordham.

In the Oct. 6 "Recycled" on the MacArthur geniuses, David Plotz misspelled Edward Hooper's name, incorrectly calling him Edward Hopper.
