All nominations must have been published in book form in the United States since 2000. Novels or story collections that have appeared on the New York Times or Amazon bestseller lists, or those that have won any major awards (National Book Award, Pulitzer Prize, National Book Critics Circle Award, etc.), are not eligible. You may nominate up to two books. Self-published books do not qualify. If you would like to explain your choices, please do so in three sentences or fewer. Nominations are due by noon (EST) on Wednesday, Oct. 18. E-mail may be quoted by name unless the writer stipulates otherwise.
