The manager of Bijan in Beverly Hills told the L.A. Times that the Kenoran Sage chosen by the city "looks like something from a shower stall."

Pool in the L.A. Times reports that the city only just finished a two-year makeover, including the new concrete sidewalks, at a cost of $16 million.
According to the L.A. Times, the city's merchants are groaning about having to shell out $850 per linear foot for the new granite sidewalks.
South Beverly Drive is a slightly less upscale shopping district in Beverly Hills.
Kenoran Sage is black, white, and gray, with small patches of pink.
The restaurateurs cannily reduced the amount they would have to pay for the expensive new granite sidewalks by threatening to halt outdoor dining.
