In a Sept. 1 "Explainer," Daniel Engber wrongly identified former Sen. Mike Mansfield as a Republican. He was a Democrat.

In an Aug. 28 "Dispatch," Josh Levin originally and incorrectly stated that Armand St. Martin performed a satirical song about FEMA sung to the tune of "Fever." It was performed by the Desoto Street Band.
