Corrections

In the Aug. 9 "Architecture," Witold Rybczynski originally implied that the Sydney Opera House is no longer used for opera. While the main hall, which was designed for opera, is now used as a concert hall, opera is performed in a smaller stage theater.

In the Aug. 6 "Today's Papers," Avi Zenilman incorrectly stated that 11 civilians were killed by a rocket attack in northern Israel. The dead were soldiers.

In the Aug. 3 "Hot Documents," Timothy Noah erroneously identified an issue of Time Out Beirut bearing the headline "SEX!" superimposed over a photograph showing a pair of black lace panties sliding down two shapely female calves as the inaugural issue of that magazine. It was the third issue, published in June.
