We all know that freedom has enemies, lots and lots of enemies. These days, we're told, it's Islamofascists who hate our freedom. But on our latest Slate bad-movie podcast, we revisit an era when freedom had equally odious antagonists: the squares.
Our bad-movie guy, Mark Jordan Legan, returns with memories and clips from a particularly rich vein of cinematic castoffs: bad biker movies of the 1960s and '70s.
