
For an example of an analogous mistake, consider the glory of the Municipal Building's relationship to the Brooklyn Bridge—the way it formed an elegant welcome to Manhattan-bound crossers. Alas, someone had the poor taste to authorize the Verizon building. Such things are rarely reversible.
