 | When heroic scientists appear in films, the stories still present a negative image of science as a career. And more often, mad scientists continue to inhabit films, most often comedies and cartoons. In the 1996 movie The Nutty Professor, Eddie Murphy (for better or worse) played an updated version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The movie grossed more than $120 million at the box office, and a sequel, Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, was released in 2000. | |
