In the April 27 "Science," Joshua Foer misspelled the name of Kim Peek, the 53-year-old savant who was the basis for Dustin Hoffman's character in Rain Man.

In the April 27 "Today's Papers," Eric Umansky said that the Los Angeles Times story on the visit by Secretary of State Rice and Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld to Iraq was played on Page One. The story ran inside the paper.

In the April 24 "Ad Report Card," Seth Stevenson misspelled the name of the ad agency Hill Holliday.

In the April 24 "Today's Pictures," the caption-writer originally identified Mount Kilimanjaro as being in Kenya. Although a small part of the mountain is in that country, the peak, which is shown in the gallery, is in Tanzania.

In the April 21 "Press Box," Jack Shafer described About.com as a search engine. It is a content site.
