In an April 13 "Fighting Words," Christopher Hitchens misidentified a legendary realm discussed in the "Gospel of Judas" as "Barbello," which is actually the name of a god said to inhabit it. The place should have been identified as the "realm of Barbello."

In an April 13 "Today's Papers," Joshua Kucera incorrectly stated that a Los Angeles Times poll found that 48 percent of respondents would not support military action against Iran if the country continued to develop nuclear weapons materials, while 40 percent of respondents would support military action. The poll said 48 percent of respondents stated that they would support military action, while 40 percent would not.

In an April 11 "Explainer," Daniel Engber described the standard of proof for a criminal trial as "beyond the shadow of a doubt." The correct phrase is "beyond a reasonable doubt."

In an April 8 "Today's Papers," Andrew Rice incorrectly stated that drugs administered to six men in a British drug trial shut down their immune systems. The drugs caused their immune cells to attack and damage vital organs.
