In a March 10 "Jurisprudence," Judy Coleman misstated the vote split in Gonzales v. Raich by miscounting the vote of Justice Antonin Scalia. In fact, Scalia filed a concurrence in the case, making the split 6-3, not 5-4.

In a March 10 "Culturebox," Daphne Merkin misspelled the names of Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer, co-creators of the HBO drama Big Love.

In a March 8 "Medical Examiner," Arthur Allen specified unsaturated fats as especially unhealthy. He meant saturated fats.

In the March 3 "Today's Blogs," Michael Weiss incorrectly identified blogger James C. Bennett as British. Bennett is American.

In a Feb. 28 "Explainer," Daniel Engber stated that Sunni clerics never wear black turbans, and that Sunnis pray with their hands up toward their chests. The words "in Iraq" have been added to the column, since it addresses only the question of how Sunnis and Shiites tell each other apart in that country.

In Nov. 4, 2005, "Number 1," Brendan I. Koerner misspelled the name Emilio Azcárraga Jean.
