In a Feb. 22 "Culturebox," James Traub incorrectly identified Allston, Mass., as a town. It is part of the city of Boston. He also incorrectly stated that Tina Brown left The New Yorker after five years as its editor—in fact, she stayed for six and a half years—and should have acknowledged his work relationship with her.

In a Feb. 22 "Science," Sam Jaffe incorrectly stated that "big solar" power plants use steam to generate electricity. The plants generate the electricity directly from the heat of sunlight using closed-loop Stirling engine generators.

In the Feb. 20 "Human Guinea Pig," Emily Yoffe originally stated that the Ojibwe Indians have lived by Mille Lacs Lake for thousands of years. They have lived there since the 1700s.

In a Feb. 17 "Today's Pictures," Magnum Photos incorrectly identified two vehicles pictured in a gallery as Volkswagen Beetles. Since the two cars were not Beetles, Magnum removed them from the gallery.

In the Feb. 15 "Fashion," Thomas Meaney mistakenly referred to Mohammed Reza Shah Pahlavi as Reza Shah Pahlavi.

In a Feb. 14 "Jurisprudence," John Casteen mistakenly referred to the TEC-DC 9 semiautomatic pistol used in the Columbine shootings as a machine pistol.
