In a Jan. 12 "Culturebox," Seth Mnookin incorrectly referred to James Frey's motivational tattoo (FTBSITTTD, for "Fuck the bullshit, it's time to throw down") as an acronym. Those letters do not form a word, so it is an abbreviation, not an acronym.

In the Jan. 12 "Politics," John Dickerson originally and incorrectly stated that Bush's approval rating was 46 percent. It is 43 percent. His favorability rating is 46 percent in that same poll.

In the Jan. 10 Today's Papers, Eric Umansky originally said the Washington Post's Ellen Knickmeyer received a phone call from a kidnapped reporter's cell phone. In fact, the Post wrote that for security reasons it withheld the name of the person who received the call.

In the Jan. 9 "War Stories," Fred Kaplan originally misspelled the name of the military analyst who authored a RAND Corp. report he cited. The analyst's name is Jennifer Kavanagh.

In a Dec. 16 "Mixing Desk," Brandon Stosuy originally and incorrectly identified the last name of a member of the band Young People. The band member is Jarrett Silberman, not Jarrett Rosenberg.
