Here I am wrestling with Peet, the Rhodesian Ridgeback mix that I adopted while in law school. Unfortunately, General Order No. 1 (applicable to all soldiers in Iraq) prohibits the keeping of pets by troops, so I won't be able to adopt a dog while serving overseas.
