Is Canadian Gay Marriage Valid Here?And the role courts play in the matter.


Today, the Canadian Supreme Court approved plans for the federal government to legalize gay marriage. In a July 2003 "Explainer," Brendan Koerner answered whether a same-sex marriage from Canada would be valid in the United States. The answer: "Probably not, at least until the newlyweds pursue the matter through the courts."
