Posted Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at 3:32 PM ETIn leaked grand jury testimony released today, Barry Bonds admits to using substances made by the BALCO company called "the cream" and "the clear" but denies knowing they were steroids. This follows earlier reports that Jason Giambi told the grand jury investigating BALCO that he used steroids and that Marion Jones allegedly injected herself with a human growth hormone. In 2003, Charles P. Pierce wrote that it's important to remember that "the scandal that is preoccupying your sports pages these days involves people doing something perfectly legal with their own bodies."
