Obama leads in five new national polls: 50 percent to 43 percent in a Gallup poll, 52 percent to 44 percent in a Rasmussen poll, 52 percent to 40 percent in a Daily Kos poll, 47 percent to 41 percent in a Diageo Hotline poll, and 50 percent to 43 percent in a GWU (Lake/Tarrance) poll. A new Star Tribune/PSRA poll in Minnesota shows Obama ahead 55 percent to 37 percent. A Columbus Dispatch poll in Ohio has Obama leading McCain by seven points, 49 percent 42 percent. In Colorado, a Mason-Dixon poll shows a dead heat at 44 percent to 44 percent.—Abby Callard
