
Herron says, "In 2000, Bush/Cheney put enormous resources into Tennessee. Bush was in Memphis the day after the Democratic Convention. He was in Chattanooga the day before the election. He narrowly won here. If the vote counting in Florida had gone differently, then the pundit world would have written about how Tennessee cost Bush the election, how Bush/Cheney made a grievous error putting so many resources in Tennessee instead of Florida."
