 | Unsurprisingly, much of the artwork in the "Reversing Vandalism" show revolves around themes of healing. One piece is a book completely covered with Band-Aids; another is cradled in fabric. Cedar Marie's sculpture Best Medicine takes its theme from the damaged book that Marie received from the library, AIDS & HIV in Perspective: A Guide to Understanding the Virus and Its Consequences. Marie fashioned shredded pages of the book into gel caps, which in turn fill a glass pill bottle topped with a cork stopper. | |
