Promotional Considerations

The primary sponsor of Drive Around the World is Land Rover Certified, which provided four certified pre-owned Discovery II vehicles for the journey.

The expedition has over 30 additional sponsors, and the following proved especially useful during the Central American leg of our journey: Mobil 1, for oil and lubricants that kept the vehicles running smoothly; Hella, whose xenon lights facilitated safe night-driving, particularly in Honduras; Red Bull, whose drinks kept us alert on long-haul drives; Garmin, whose dash-mounted global positioning devices pointed us in the right direction; Iridium and Telenor, whose satellite phone services kept us in touch with the outside world; Panasonic, who generously provided our documentary crew with cameras and videotapes; and Seagate, which provided laptops and computer support for the entire expedition team.
