Another way to distinguish the new reissue is the "Columbia/Legacy" on the spine. There is also small-print text, superimposed over a picture of Monk, on the back cover. The earlier CD, which you should avoid, has a seal on the front cover, stating "Columbia Jazz Masterpieces." It also says "Digitally Remastered from the Original Analog Tapes" (which isn't quite right—it's remastered from the electronically altered post-production tapes, not from the original master tapes). Its catalog number is Columbia CK 40785.
