All you need to know, besides what's in the article, is that the "MAC address" the configuration software asks for is the third of the three numbers stamped on the bottom of the AirPort. MAC, for Media Access Controller, assigns a unique identifying number to any Internet hardware connection. The name has nothing to do with Apple's Macintosh brand. One MAC address is for the AirPort's wireless transceiver, the other two are for the pair of Ethernet jacks on its backside.
