Yesterday, Chatterbox reported that Karen Hughes' swank corner suite on the second floor of an overcrowded White House had stood empty since Hughes vacated it on Monday to return with her family to Texas. As of late this afternoon, the office was still vacant. This is a highly volatile situation. Chatterbox strongly urges communications director Dan Bartlett, the most logical occupant (he has the small office next door), to move a few file boxes in to discourage squatters and a possible pre-emptive move from Karl Rove.
