63. BARRY and OBLIO WISH--$5.3 million to BOWDOIN COLLEGE (Maine) to renovate and expand theater facilities, and for general operating support from the chairman emeritus of Ocwen Financial Corp. and his wife.

64. EUGENE APPLEBAUM--$5 million to WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY (Mich.) to construct a new facility for the College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions from the founder of Arbor Drugs.

64. JACK S. and LAURA LEE BLANTON--$5 million to the Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art at the UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS for the capital campaign. Jack Blanton is president of Eddy Refining Co. and chairman of the Houston Endowment. Laura Lee Blanton is president of the Scurlock Foundation (Texas) and a trustee of the Smithsonian Institution.

64. TRISTRAM and RUTH COLKET and FAMILY--$5 million to ROANOKE COLLEGE (Va.) to expand the Sutton Student Center, which houses the dining commons. Tristram Colket is the owner of Tekloc Enterprises, a private investment company in Paoli, Pa. The Colkets' gift must be matched by other pledges of $10,000 or more by December 2001.

64. JOHN M. COOK--$5 million to SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY to expand the business school. Cook is chairman of the Atlanta-based Profit Recovery Group International.

64. LAWRENCE J. and FLORENCE DeGEORGE--$5 million to HARVARD UNIVERSITY to fund the Florence DeGeorge Islet Research Challenge Grant at the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Center for Islet Cell Transplantation at Harvard Medical School.

64. JOSEPH and MAUREEN DiMENNA--$5 million to FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY (Conn.) to renovate the library. Joseph DiMenna is managing director of the New York financial services firm Zweig, DiMenna Associates.

64. MAXINE DUNITZ--$5 million to CEDARS-SINAI MEDICAL CENTER (Calif.) for the Neurological Institute. Dunitz's late husband, Gerald, was a real estate developer in Los Angeles.

64. DANIEL C. FERGUSON--$5 million to HAMILTON COLLEGE (N.Y.) to endow professorships and faculty programs from the retired chairman of the Newell Co., a home furnishings manufacturer.

64. WALLACE and JAMA FOWLER--$5 million to ARKANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY to complete a performing arts center. The gift was a celebration of the Wallaces' 43rd anniversary. Wallace Fowler founded Fowler Foods Inc. and also owned First Bank of Arkansas, which he sold in 1997.
