Dear Tim,

I don't think you're a pig for wanting to know what Nina Burleigh looks like; I think you're a (modest) pig for saying so in a nationally-available on-line publication. Call me a hypocrite: Smart feminists never strove (nor even wanted) to accomplish the impossible task of taming the male id; only to make it think twice before disporting itself in the public sphere. (This is not, mind you, an amicus brief filed on Burleigh's behalf. She invited your query, and more.)

Love, Marjorie
