A reporter just called me to check out the rumor that I was advising the Clinton legal team. Not true, I said--as a matter of fact, I've been saying for days that I think Starr acted stupidly, not illegally. That rumor put to rest, he asked me if I'd heard the same three rumors he'd heard about the talking points--should we say what they are, or is that Drudgelike, you've heard them too. I said yes indeed, I'd heard them. From whom, he asked. From people who talk to Washington reporters, I said. Have a good night.
