David Brooks and Susan Estrich
I'll take a truce provided we eliminate the real crazies on both sides. I don't know this Prof. Roth, but I have to say, I find his comments troubling, if only for their naivete, insensitivity, etc. I mean--really. My problem is not that Bork didn't make it on the Court or Lani to the Justice Department ( I had read her work, and was quite frankly surprised that Clinton ever nominated her), but that far more moderate people are being zinged--by your friends, I'm afraid--for such things as awarding custody to a gay partner (disqualifying a Superior Court judge from San Diego) or voting for a pro-choice resolution in the bar association ( which held up Margaret Morrow's confirmation for about a year).
