An embarassment of Gingriches

What you clearly don't understand is that Newton is, as he so often points out, an historical figure cut from the Churchillian, if not the Napoleonic, cloth. So what look like obtuse blunders to us are just his way of ushering in the future that only he stands tall enough to see. Either that or he's a headstrong bull in the policy china shop. Speaking of foreign policy, the continued Republican assault on Clinton has had one measurable effect: not one Dem has the temerity to stand up and say that, while Newt turns Jerusalem into the Meddle East, President Clinton actually helped make peace, for the moment at least, between the two Irelands. What the Irish should do, if they want back on America's front pages, is get into the satellite-launching business.

Regarding residuals, as a toiler in the Murdoch vineyards, I've been encouraged to see such payments as unfair siphoning off of funds that could better be applied to the purchase of ever more pro sports teams.
