That was indeed an amazing quasi-cosmic truth to come out of the Springfield super's mouth. Then the state superintendent of schools said that what happened is only a societal problem and not at all a school problem. It's only been 36 hours, but we already have a selection of statements from Oregon education officials that, if they keep it up, promises to rival William Ginsburg's.
A very interesting twist to this story is the statement by Kip Killer's schoolmate Aaron Keeney that Kip was on Prozac. You know how I feel about putting kids on anti-depressants without a proper psychiatric evaluation--already 2® million of them are--but if this turns out to be true, it would be an incredible boon to those of us who have been crusading against the FDA approving Prozac for pediatric use.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend. I look forward to reading all about it on Tuesday morning.
Cheers to you and your beautiful wife!
