How 'Bout Those Knicks?

Posted Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at 2:22 PM ET

OK. So, as we've been advised to keep to the papers, how about those Knicks? Whatever for Allan Houston. Sprewell's got game. And fly-ass hair. And sexy spectacles. OK. Enough. Back to my cantaloupe, coffee, and the New York Times . (We're closing the extra-thick September issue, too, so I am tired.)

Here's how I'm checking out the headlines. In the Biz section: "At Chase, the Chairman Tries To Make All Sides Winners." I think, Wow, my friend DB works there. I wonder if he has any idea what's up with his chairman. When I see him for dinner Friday night, won't I look chic when I ask him? Sports section: more Knicks ... but I saw the game last night so for what do I need Vecsey? Especially since I'm a Sprewell fan (he was at Golden State for like five or six years). "Science Times": Kinda digging the story with the headline "Directionless? Scientists Offer Some Clues." I'm one of those people who literally does not know her right from her left hand. So this story appeals. Film studio at the Brooklyn Navy Yard? I live near there. That's news to know. Kosovo: I am ashamed to say I am uneducated as to the causes and effects. I know that's lame.

The New York Post: "DiCaprio in Godfather IV?" Sigh.

How about those Knicks?

Peace out,
Danyel

P.S.: That stat about buying habits is from the "Harper's Index." The comments re: Vibe are encouraging and challenging. Thanks.
