
I talked to Richard Zeckhauser, who supposedly said that. "You know, this wasn't exactly a major event in my life," he told me. But what he thinks he might have said was more like, "If that kind of lock-in to the wrong technology were as common as you claim, capitalism wouldn't work as well as it does."
