
The Spice Girls are actually a bright spot in the long history of prefab bands. It's true that they don't measure up to the Sex Pistols, the champion of prefabs. But they sure outclass the Monkees (the pre-fab Four) and recent dreck like New Kids on the Block, Milli Vanilli, Take That, and Menudo.
