Brazil Bailout Makes No Splash

Wall Street was spooked this week by the news that Brazil had devalued its currency. Only two months ago, the United States engineered a $5 billion International Monetary Fund bailout for Brazil. At the time, Walter Shapiro wondered why no politician or journalist raised a stink about the $5 billion.
