At most sperm banks, donors get paid about $50 per usable specimen, and they make two to eight "contributions" per month. Sperm banks limit their donors to ensure that they don't father too many kids. Some stop donors after a year or two. Others restrict donors to 10 or 20 babies. Most donors take the job to earn pocket money for school, but some are altruistic. They just want to help women have kids.
